Application Locations and Functions of Poron in Keyboards

Poron material typically exists in multiple forms within mechanical keyboards, forming a comprehensive shock absorption and noise reduction system. Different locations serve distinct purposes:

1. Sandwich Pad: Positioned between the mounting plate and PCB, this core application delivers a “springy” tactile feel and enhances overall acoustic performance.

2. Switch Pad: Covering the PCB surface beneath switches to prevent friction noise between switches and PCB.

3. Bottom Padding: Filled between the keyboard's bottom shell and PCB to absorb overall resonance and eliminate “hollow cavity sounds.”

4. Switch Spacers / Grommets: 0.3mm ultra-thin Poron material placed between or around switches to eliminate friction and resonance between switches.
